I went through a few room themes as a teen. First I had this country cottage look going on. My curtains were light blue and I had a pretty quilt for my bed. Then I got into the whole celestial thing. Everything was navy blue and yellow, gold and silver. My bedspread was awesome; it had the wheel of the zodiac on it. I had glow stars everywhere, absolutely loved 'em. :)

Awesome. My friend had those glowing stars and I loved them. I was never allowed to have them. :(

As far as my room was concerned, it was gray, black, white and red. I loved animation (still do...it was my major in college) so I had posters on foam core of some of my favorite disney movies. I also had some of my own drawings up. Mixed in were some awesome hockey things. LOL Not your "average" teen girl room to say the least.

There was absolutely nothing on my walls. I had a bed and chest of drawers. I was such a private person that I never displayed anything that would show anything about me and how I feel.

I had yellow walls and one wall with bright daisy wallpaper, plus white eyelet curtains. And (to give you a hint of just how old I really am) I had a poster of Parker Stevenson from the Hardy Boys TV show. ;-)

I'm still a teen now so my room...
It's really nothing that special.

I have a bed, dresser, desk, and bookshelves.

Yellow walls with the nice looking cover of I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone signed by the author, band posters signed as well (boys like girls, mxpx, the city drive)

I have tons and tons and tonsss of books. I have a section for books I need to review, a section for books that are mine that i need to read, a space for already read books...those are in my closet, under my mirror (in a row), and a lot in boxes under my bed.

Bed: red sheets.

Oh, and I have a fan, b/c yes, it's super cold out, but I still use it most of the time. What can i say? i get hot a lot...must be all the books burning up the room! :)

Well, I am currently a teen and my room is turquoise with black and white accessories. I'm planning on changing the wall color to green or white but I don't think my mother will let me for a while.

Loving the answers! I was a huge Anne of Green Gables fan, so my room was tres Victorian. Four poster bed, antique dresser and of course a print of Waterhouse's "Lady of Shallot" on my wall.

I had the glowing stars, too. Posters of Jonathan Brandis taken from all those teeny-bopper mags. Yes. I loved that boy. And my room went through periods like everyone else's, things taken down and other things put up in their place.

But the absolute, no-holds-barred best? When I got a waterbed for Christmas (used, but still). It had a bookshelf for a headboard and--the absolute kicker--it came with Return of the Jedi sheets. It was like it was MADE for me. And I think I went more nuts for the sheets than the bed when my parents surprised me with it.

My teen bedroom, quite honestly, was nothing special. Except for the longest time it had bright orange carpet, which didn't exactly go with the rest of the blue walls and decorations. I had a painting of Paris above my bed and for years I wanted to go there just because of that picture. Still haven't been there, but maybe one day...

I was always jealous of my brother's room. His was dark green and had a mural of a rainforest on one wall.

LOL I didnt' even think about the teeny-bopper posters. Well, does this give you a clue as to my generation? My walls were covered in pictures of Devon Sawa. Hmm..wonder if he's still doing anything?

Oh My God...

Jonathan Brandis. I thought he was sooo hot. Him and Leo Dicaprio. We must be around the same age Kristin B

You ladies are much younger than me... I had it bad for Shaun Cassidy!!! Do you even know who he is?

Tracy Belsher said...

Ha! I know who Shaun Cassidy AND Parker Stevenson are - guess that makes me one of the old farts, too. :)
