Swash-buckling Fill in the Blanks

In light of our April title selection for the YAedge Book Club, A.S. King's, The Dust of 100 Dogs - I thought we could play a bit of fill-in-the-quote with lines from my favourite pirate movie (based on a book), The Princess Bride.

Rob Reiner's 1987 film lives on - kids at my elementary school TODAY can quote lines from this awesome flick. The book's author, William Goldman, also wrote the screenplay. Adventure. Comedy. Romance. The book, the film has it all.

Okay, my pirate-loving friends, fill in the blanks - no prize for this one, but maybe you won't have to walk the plank:

1. As ____ _______ was all he ever said to her.

2. When I was your age ______________ was called books.

3. Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. ___ _______ __ ______. ________ __ ___.

4. _____ cannot stop true love. It can only delay it for awhile.

5. No more rhyming now, I mean it. Anybody ____ _ ______?

6. People in _____ cannot be trusted.

7. I spent the last few years building up __ _________ to iocan powder.

8. Life is ____, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

What? Still not enough to soothe your inner pirate? Then check out these guys who started Talk Like A Pirate Day.

AWESOME--I love it. I know most of them, I think:

1. As YOU WISH was all he ever said to her.

2. When I was your age (??) was called books.

3. Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. YOU KILLED MY FATHER. PREPARE TO DIE

4. DEATH cannot stop true love. It can only delay it for awhile.

5. No more rhyming now, I mean it. Anybody WANT A PEANUT?

6. People in (??) cannot be trusted.

7. I spent the last few years building up AN IMMUNITY to iocan powder.

8. Life is PAIN, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something

I'd love to play, unfortunately I can't answer any of them! I haven't watched many pirate movies and TDO100D was my first pirate book.

Maybe I should start catching up on all things pirate.

Ok, I'm missing a few, but I'm deliberately not looking at the other comments while I see how I did.
1. As you wish
2.
3. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
4. Death
5. have a peanut?
6.
7. an immunity
8.

I need to watch that movie again. :) Love it. Totally fell in love with Wesley as a little girl (and now I'm irritated cuz Cary Elwes tends to play annoying or creepy guys these days).

I notice you didn't mention the ROUS's. :)

Ok, now I read Rhonda's comment and it looks like she was stumped by the same ones I was. Except of course she actually knew what #8 was. :)

Tami - I'm so sorry you feel that way. But there's no coming back from this....Not liking - not LOVING The Princess Bride? Where's that damn plank?!

lol...

Amy - glad you stopped in again - how many did you get right?

I may be pushing it a bit far now - but I also loved The Pirate Movie (Kristy McNichol, 1982? Ring any old timer bells?).

Should I duck now?
